  • sounds like you shouldn't have been taking an antidepressant at all. talk about a misdiagnosis. They should have immediately weened you off Zoloft the SECOND they properly diagnosed you. Actually, you (and/or your mother) should have demanded it.

  • they are NOT narcotic. You should, at the very least, google stuff before committing to idiotic statements. I don't take them to make me happy, I take them so I can walk, sit, and stand everyday after a serious back injury.

  • I was diagnosed with depression after 8 years of chronic pain, which resulted from a car accident.  I was doing long term pain management (aka - prescription pain killers) with a "specialist" for several years.
